Career Opportunities

Agro Engineering encourages professional development along with time for recreation and family life. We support membership in professional assocations and local organizations. The interdisciplinary nature of our team fosters the sharing of experience and information from all levels within the company.

We recognize that location plays an important role when seeking employment. Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains on three sides, our location in the rural San Luis Valley offers the opportunity to encounter the beautiful environment in which we live. Outdoor recreation opportunities abound, including snow skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and camping.

While we all know the importance of careers, we understand that our employees first priority is their families. At Agro Engineering we nurture family life through inclusion and vacation time.

Internships

Due to the seasonal nature of our business, we offer summer internships to college students majoring in agricultural related fields. Our internship program offers college students the opportunity to work in a professional atmosphere within their field of study. Throughout the growing season, interns work under our consultants and are an important part of our team.

Internships involve assisting our consultants with the applied research, pest and disease scouting, irrigation scheduling, plant and soil fertility sampling, and other special projects. Interns are able to foster working relationships with consultants and clients, as well as others in the industry.

Recruiting for summer is initiated in the fall and is usually finalized by early spring. To learn more about Agro Engineering and the role of our summer interns please email tess@agro.com
